Ari Drabinowski est un jeune réalisateur français, formé en cinéma et audiovisuel à l’Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, avec l’ambition d’intégrer par la suite une grande école de cinéma.

 

Depuis six ans, il collabore étroitement avec Romann Magnin, avec qui il développe un cinéma audacieux, explorant une large variété de genres, du western à la science-fiction, en passant par le film d’horreur.

 

Leurs courts-métrages, reconnus dans de nombreux festivals, ont notamment remporté le Prix de la Révélation au Fantasy Film Festival, saluant un univers singulier et en perpétuelle évolution.

 

Parallèlement à sa formation cinématographique, il fréquente régulièrement les plateaux de tournage, où il intervient comme figurant, silhouette ou dans de petits rôles, afin de rencontrer les équipes et mieux s’approprier le milieu.

 

Plus généralement, il est animé par une passion profonde pour le cinéma et une curiosité hors du commun, qui le pousse à étudier les œuvres de cinéastes du monde entier pour affiner sa mise en scène et en explorer toutes les dimensions esthétiques.

 

Son approche du cinéma se distingue par une attention particulière portée à l’image, au rythme et à la matière sonore. À travers une œuvre en construction, il exprime une volonté affirmée de repousser les limites narratives et esthétiques du langage cinématographique.

Ari Drabinowski is a young French filmmaker, trained in film and audiovisual studies at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, with the ambition of later joining a prestigious film school.

 

For the past six years, he has worked closely with Romann Magnin, with whom he has developed a bold and eclectic cinema, exploring a wide range of genres—from westerns to science fiction, including horror.

 

Their short films have been recognized at numerous festivals and were notably awarded the Revelation Prize at the Fantasy Film Festival, celebrating a unique and ever-evolving creative universe.

Alongside his academic training, he regularly works on film sets, appearing as an extra, background performer, or in small roles, in order to meet crews and gain a deeper understanding of the film industry.

 

More broadly, he is driven by a deep passion for cinema and an exceptional curiosity, which leads him to study the work of filmmakers from around the world to refine his own directing style and explore its full aesthetic potential.

 

His approach to filmmaking is characterized by particular attention to image, rhythm, and sound texture. Through a body of work in progress, he expresses a clear desire to push the narrative and aesthetic boundaries of cinematic language.
